.Net Development - Housing Societies Management & Audit

Introduction

UK based client was looking for redevelopment of the Desktop based Housing Societies Management and Audit product from VB 6.0 and MS Access to web based product using .Net 3.5 and SQL Server 2005. A short product description is a follows:

The product will help the Housing Societies in managing their long-term corporate plan that will contain SMART goals and are validated against an internal and external analysis of the organization. These are then prioritized, allocated and risk analyzed before being cascaded into the annual plan for the organization, held within the Projects Module. Projects and action plans are developed and broken into tasks. These actions enable you to identify resources required to deliver them and the linkages to KLOEs, quality standards, evidence and cross-cutting themes.

Based on the project specifications, 4 resources were deployed on the development including Team Lead and 3 developers with expertise in .Net technologies.

Project Execution :

The project works on onsite-offshore model. The offshore team at iBoss Tech Solutions is given the functional requirements for the modules to be redesigned from the Project Manger based at client end. Based on that functional specification, the teams lead at offshore center need to develop a technical specification and assign the same to the developers for development on the same. TFS is used for configuration management and the reporting is done through the SharePoint.

The project was started in August 2008 and is still under development. Schedules and costs are met till date on the project.
